WordPress and Post Submission Buttons to Digg and Co.
If you’ve been looking for a way to implement post submission on your blogs, Xavier puts up a detailed tutorial over at xavodim.com. Post submission here refers to buttons that let your readers submit your posts to social bookmarking sites like Digg, Del.icio.us, Furl, Reddit and co.
I haven’t implemented this on blogHelper yet, but I’ve done so on the rest of my blogs. I used something similar to what Xavier is doing, but in plugin form. What I used was a plugin designed by Knight, known as ak-bookmark. If you prefer a plugin that encapsulates all the code, you can try ak-bookmark here. The plugin allows you to enable or disable certain social bookmarking sites through your admin interface. However, the plugin doesn’t come with the images that Xavier provides. For that, you’ll probably have to modify the plugin yourself.
Edit: Implemented ak-bookmark on the blog. You can see how it works below.
Second Edit: At PaulStamatiou.com, we have another code implementation of post submission buttons. Look for it under My Social Bookmarking Mod. The code seems to be for a large selection of social bookmarking services (8, I think).
