Updated Yahoo! Publisher Network (YPN) PPC System
It seems that Yahoo! will be updating its web advertising offering, Yahoo! Publisher Network, in stages - hopefully meeting its stated third quarter deadline for a full introduction. Among the intended improvements are more visible “ad quality” scores through a new Quality Index, quicker ad testing by advertisers, geotargeting, and cross-network ad purchasing.
The first phase was rolled out yesterday (or today, depending on your time zone) and will involve updates to YPN’s data and analytics platform. But the second phase (and full introduction) will begin only in the third quarter.
For more details, I suggest tapping into SearchEngineWatch’s coverage of the upgrade.

It will be a good move towards the establishment of good gestures between Yahoo and advertisers, I feel.
