SEO Blogs I Read

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is, more often than not, deemed secondary in today’s professional bloggers’ activities. In fact, Nick Wilson blogged on this issue late last year on Performancing.

But, most will agree that good SEO still helps, and where best to learn the trade (and its everchanging trends) but from SEO bloggers that make it their job to keep up with the SEO industry.

So, I thought I’d share my regular reading list of SEO blogs.

  1. SEO Book
Regular and high frequency posting is what you can expect from Aaron Wall at SEO Book, with tips that are usually very simple to understand. Several cool SEO tools have also emerged from SEO Book, including SEO for Firefox and SEO Book’s Keyword Suggestion Tool.
  2. Matt Cutts Blog
The blog of Google’s SEO spokesperson is a must read for anyone who wants to keep up with Google’s everchanging whims. From common mistakes to clarifications of the latest rumors, Matt Cutts tackles it all
  3. Search Engine Watch Blog
Almost all SEO-related news passes through this blog sooner rather than later. But sometimes, the neverending barrage of news pouring from the SEW Blog can be intimidating.
  4. Stuntdubl
In direct contrast to the SEW Blog, Stuntdubl doesn’t churn out several posts a day or even a week. But the few posts that you will read are quality. It must be noted, however, that Stuntdubl’s posts are more relevant to the advanced SEO than the average blogger.

These are all I read, but trust me when I say that you could multiply this list by five and still get it filled by only the best SEO blogs around. Check out Search Engine Journal’s Best SEO Blogs of last year for a larger list of good SEO blogs.
