More K2 Customizing

The last time we had a look at PaulStamatiou.com’s Customizing K2 series, it was at Part 3, on Social Bookmarking. The series has been expanded since then with Parts 4 and 5.

Part 4 talks about K2 sidebars, 3-column layouts and image maps, while Part 5 concerns load time optimization. Although Part 4 is very much crafted for K2 themes alone, you could actually use the advice given in Part 5 for other blog themes as well. In fact, I’ve used a couple of his optimization tips on some of my blogs, e.g. CSS compression through CSS Tweak and turning off advanced functions that require extensive Javascript.

So, if you want to explore your K2 theme further, I suggest checking PaulStamatiou.com’s Customizing K2 series out. Even non-K2 users will be able to learn a thing or two.
