More “Hidden” AdSense Ads

Sneaky, or rather, creative means of blending AdSense adverts are commonplace. We’ve seen our fair share of them here, with this hidden link unit (or rather, used to be) being one example.

Here’s yet another creative piece of ad placement, courtesy of WorkBoxers:

As usual, whether this sort of placement adheres to Google AdSense’s Terms of Service (TOS) is debatable given the sheer difficulty in differentiating ad from content.

Personally I think this is creative rather than sneaky. The “ads by google” text is still there next to the ads. Let’s be honest, as website owners, we don’t want parts of our site to clash, we want them to blend with each other. Isn’t that the reason Google allows us to edit the look of our ads, to match the rest of our site?
