moo.fx: Some Tutorials
I was studying up on moo.fx recently and came across some good tutorials, whether for beginners or intermediate web designers. For those that are unaware, moo.fx is a lightweight Javascript library that allows you to produce some really cool effects on your site/blog, e.g. real-time sliding content areas (i.e. drawers) or background-colour changing when someone clicks on a particular title or button.
So, if you happen to be interested, here are a few tutorials:
- Idiot’s Guide to moo.fx
A tutorial for complete beginners that teaches the fx.Height (sliding drawers) effect. - NYOKIGLITTER: Another Idiot’s Guide
Similiar in level to the previous tutorial, but this one highlights the fx.Opacity (disappearing and reappearing content) effect instead. - More Advanced Tutorial on fx.Accordion
A more advanced tutorial compared to the previous ones, but that’s probably because the fx.Accordion effect is slightly more complex compared to fx.Height or fx.Opacity. - More Advanced Tutorial on Smooth Scrolling
Again, this one is slightly more advanced compared to the first two (at least, if you want to understand the underlying Javascript).
There are probably tons more of these in the moo.fx forums, but I won’t spoil the fun of playing with moo.fx for you.
