Well I just did that yesterday on my blog with a blog titled ” What does it takes for visitors on my blogs?

ZMAng, thanks for noticing my attempt to learn more about my blog readers. I was hoping someone would at least notice that all I did was directly ask for comments. While I’m disappointed that so far only several people have responded, I’m still pleased that I’ve gotten to discover a few folks who typically have remained silent readers or who are new to my blog.

It’s a great thing to to invite conversation and learn from other people – just ASK them for ideas, questions, suggestions, opinions, etc.

Lol. But when I think about it, that mistake would have qualified as comment baiting – though it wouldn’t bait the type of comments you’d normally like.
