Adsense Resources
I’m sure many bloggers out there are using Adsense - some experienced, many more floundering in the dark. But there are substantial resources for Adsense out there, whether paid - like Joel Comm’s Adsense Secrets E-Book - or free. In fact, the free ones will probably help you more than anything paid out there - as long as you are willing to put in the hours reading, learning, and testing.
So, what are the best free Adsense resources out there? I’ll point you to those that I (and many others) think are among the best of the best. Truthfully, I think you already know (given the many posts on this topic already), but let me write this post anyway.
- DigitalPoint’s Adsense Forum
- My choice for the best free Adsense resource library available to webmasters. Just browse through the innumerable threads on ad placement, compliance, and other related topics. And if anything puzzles you, you can even ask and get a useful reply! Where else can you get experienced Adsense publishers to nag and whine to for free?
- ProBlogger
- The blog of one of the most well-known probloggers around. Filled with tons of advice on Adsense and Chitika eMinimalls, especially. Like the DP Forums, you’ll just have to delve into the archives (or just use the top navigation bar to find key pages). Probably the most important characteristic of ProBlogger is that you are 99% sure that the Adsense advice there works because you have a blogger earning 5-digits a month on Adsense writing you tips on Adsense.
- JenSense
- An insightful and interesting blog on contextual advertising, from Adsense, MSN to YPN. The cool part about the blog is that you will always pick up some useful info, even if it’s masked as AdSense Party Trick #1 - Name that Company. Read it to see what I mean. Like ProBlogger, JenSense is regularly updated, but JenSense is probably more targeted to contextual advertising, like Adsense, compared to ProBlogger.
- Performancing
- A group weblog focusing on helping bloggers succeed. With that kind of goal, it is obvious that there are quite a bit of useful Adsense info there. With Performancing’s recent launch of their forum and Firefox extension (okay, not so recent, but still…), Performancing will only be a better resource for bloggers, whether for Adsense or any other aspect of problogging.
